In a unexpected collaboration that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Uncovered

According to the official release, "A mysterious encounter pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying changes reverberate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a hidden group.

The mission centers on "peculiar tests and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Changes

The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a striking moment showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Items and Bonus Material

Players who finish the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
